I can’t believe it’s only a week until Christmas?! Are you prepared? You’re either the sort of person who:
1 – Polished off all of their Christmas gift shopping back in August
2 – Just a few more to buy…
3 – You haven’t even started yet!
I kind of slot in between 1 and 2, because I have actually completed my Christmas gift shopping, YAY. However this girl definitely wasn’t organised enough to be finished (or even started) by August! Don’t panic number 3’s though, I’ve got your back, and I will let you in on a little secret… GET YOURSELF TO BOOTS.
With Boots having such a wide range of Christmas gifts this year, you are sure to find something that your loved ones will be thrilled to find under the tree. Struggling to find a gift for that tricky person? Your mum? BOOTS. Your brother? BOOTS. Your children? BOOTS! I think you might understand where I am getting with this post by now? A lot of their gifts have a 3 for 2 offer on too, which means you can give two away and keep one for yourself!
Sharing any opportunities that come my way (with my friends and family) is one of the things that I love the most about having my blog. This blog post is no exception. A lot of you know from my Twitter and Instagram, that 2018 hasn’t exactly been my *best year* but I’ve had a really good friend there for me, every step of the way.
The sort of friend that is completely selfless. A friend that has had many of their own tough times this year, yet goes out of their way to make sure that you’re okay. The sort of friend that asks you if you got home safely. The sort of friend that will drive out of their way home towards the A1, (at 1am) just so that you can follow them, because it’s scary and dark and they know the way better than you do. (When the M1 is poo and closed).
Everyone needs a friend like that in their life.
With my recent job resignation (due to all sorts of reasons, I’m sure I will update you in the future, when it feels less raw) I’ve had to cut-back on presents slightly this year. It’s made me sad because there are a lot of people in my life that deserve treating at the moment, but I just can’t afford it! So when Boots reached out to me and asked if I wanted to take part in their 5o Days of Christmas campaign, I couldn’t resist! I get to treat my truly amazing friend, Shannon!
When shopping at Christmas, I like to buy people ‘a main one’ alongside a few other little bits. The ‘main gift’ I have selected for Shannon is the Joy Eau De Parfum, by Dior* Normally, I would avoid buying perfume as a surprise present because it is SO difficult to select a scent for someone else, however on this occasion it was EASY. Whilst we were shopping a couple of months back, we were both handed a sample of ‘the brand new Dior fragrance’. We then spent the rest of the shopping trip constantly smelling the small piece of ribbon because we absolutely adored the scent. The other day Shannon text me a picture of a teeny tiny 5ml sample saying that she was too poor to buy herself a full bottle, and it made me smile so much because I absolutely cannot wait to give her this.
It smells AMAZING. With it’s citrusy, musky notes you need to get yourself down to a store and give it a sniff. SUCH a perfect present.
The next few gifts are about relaxation, something that I know a lot of us don’t think about enough. (including you Shannon, please take some time for yourself <3)
This Woodwick Calming Retreat Candle* is ideal to get yourself into that tranquil mindset. Woodwick candles are my favourite because the special wick makes it sound like you are sat by an open fire! Super cosy. It literally smells like a spa, and I’m almost certain it could send me to sleep. Please don’t actually fall asleep with this candle on though, that would be unsafe and a waste of a beautiful candle. (she says, I unfortunately smashed one mid photo shoot the other day and I could cry)
Now that we have a candle lit, it’s time to put a face mask on of course! The Soap & Glory The Mask Force Five Set* is a TOTAL BARG. These masks are around £3.50 – £4.00 each and you get 5 for £12.50! Shannon has been telling me that her skin needs a little TLC lately, so I thought these would be PERFECT since there are a variety of different treatments / target areas to choose from. There’s not a lot of things in life that are better than taking off all your make up after a long day, stepping into a bath full of bubbles and popping on a face mask…
Actually. I was wrong. It could get better… WITH FESTIVE CHOCOLATES* How cute are these?! Love the little Rudolph noses. It’s going to take some SERIOUS willpower to not eat these before giving them away…
I hope this blog post has helped you with any gifting woes that you may have! Since Boots have such a HUGE variety of Christmas gifts for her you are sure to find something you are looking for, I mean, it might take you a while because there are over 25 pages, but you will get there! POSITIVE THINKING! Don’t forget to take a peek at the Christmas gifts for him page too, I know how hard it is to buy for them! I’ve got my eye on some of the Nando’s sauces for Jordan. Has anything taken your fancy from Boots?
