You could say it has been a while…. almost two weeks since I last posted! I guess I have been a little bit busy. Life hey?
I don’t know about you, but I literally HATE jean shopping. In my opinion, it is the worst item of clothing to shop for, unless you are talking dress shopping, with a bloated belly, after that huge meal in Bills, that you already regret… kind of.
Being 5’1 in the jean world isn’t the best. I bet Soph can vouch for me here, I hope anyway, if not, tell me where you get your jeans GIRL. The jeans are either far too long, literal trip hazard long, or they just don’t fit in all the right places, nightmare.
When I do finally find a pair of jeans that fit me, (usually TopShop or Miss Selfridge petite) boy do I love wearing them, I pretty much wear a pair of jeans everyday, but don’t most people? My only problem is, I just don’t find them to be very comfortable… at all. Digging into the belly, insanely tight around the knees, at the end of the day I just want to take them off straight away and get into my comfy PJ bottoms.
This is where Denham Jeans come in. A fairly new store to the UK (only UK store is Leeds, and the brand is available inside Edinburgh Harvey Nichols, at the moment) originating in Amsterdam. The brand is created by Jason Denham, what a convenient name? Denham, Denim… you get me?
A few weeks ago I was very lucky to be invited to an event at Denham, Leeds (on my blogs 1st birthday actually) where we were shown around the MOST BEAUTIFUL store ever! The photos can speak for themselves…. I totally need scissors in my bedroom now to hang up all my clothes.
We were kindly gifted a pair of jeans of our choice too! – and I chose the ‘Spray Super Tight Fit’ style* Let me tell you. These are the comfiest jeans I have EVER worn. ever ever ever, Sass will agree with me I am sure… we picked up the same pair! They fit perfectly in all the correct places, since they have a wide range of waist sizes, plus they came in the fabulous 28 inch leg length which I absolutely need! I am just so pleased with them. I believe they are soon offering a readjustment service in Leeds, just in case your dream pair of jeans don’t fit you, you can have them adjusted to suit you – handy!
Denham jeans typically cost £100+ which I guess is quite a lot more expensive than your average pair of jeans, in say Topshop, but when you feel them, you can really tell that they are made from a higher quality denim, with an excellent attention to detail. Plus they *apparently* wash better, due to the way in which the denim has been worked, resulting in the colour fading less – I am still too scared to test this, I always ruin my clothes in the wash…. EEEK.
For me, the stand out feature of the Denham store is the ability to hire out the upstairs private wardrobe facility, free of charge. You can hire it out on your own, or with a group of friends! Booking in advance allows you to tell the store your sizings and potential styles that you may be after, so they can then personalise the wardrobe to suit you, along with some refreshments! They do other clothes too by the way! Not just jeans.
If you fancy an extra peek into the Denham Store, you can see some clips during my VLOG below!
Hope you enjoyed this post lovelies, I am in love with the Denham Jeans brand. The products themselves, the details, the brand values – EVERYTHING. Plus, isn’t the store just GORGEOUS. I’ve learnt that jeans are a product that are worth investing in, and maybe paying a little more than you usually would, since you wear them so often! I have had a peek at the new range coming to stores soon, and it all looks really great! Do you hate buying jeans too? Would you like to try Denham? If you are in Leeds, Edinburgh or Amsterdam, then you are in for a treat, if not, you can always purchase these lovely jeans online!
I am finally on Facebook! Please support my new page and give me a like! xoxo
