50 Things To Do When You Don't Have Wifi

Hello lovelies!

Some of you may be aware that I moved house just over two weeks ago and I stupidly didn’t set up broadband in advance, which means I have been without wifi since then. No Netflix SOB SOB. (don’t worry though, I have been seeking out wifi spots for PLL, I HAVE to)

Living without wifi is really quite hard, especially when you are a blogger. You don’t REALLY think about how many daily activities in your routine require it… UNTIL you take it away. I have already spent so SO much on 3G on my phone, opps!

In today’s post I thought I would make a list of fun things you can do without the holy grail that is WIFI. I mean, for most of my childhood I didn’t have it… and I turned out okay, didn’t I?!

Let your inner child out!

1. Complain about not having Wifi on social media. (with your limited 3G of course)
2. Cry about not having Wifi.
3. Read, anything. Magazines? That book you always said you would read?
4. Grab some scissors and some paper and make yourself some gorgeous snowflakes. Who cares if it is only July?
5. Paint your nails... and toes if you wish. You have all the time in the world!
6. BAKE. I admit I have had my eye on Lauren’s Sweet Potato Brownies and Fi’s Cookies for some time now.
7. Get on a bus or a train and just go a n y w h e r e. Don’t even think about it.
8. Finger paint.
9.  Make your own pizzas and cover them with toppings in smiley faced shapes.
10.  Go to the park and soar through the air on the swings.
11.  Play the SIMS.
12. Call a friend.
13.  See a friend.
14.  Go to the library and learn something new. (they often have wifi there too.. wink wink)
15.  Draw your surroundings.
16.  Go for a walk (or run if you are super fit)
17.  Watch High School Musical with Potato Smilies.
18. Hunt out your old favourite DVD’s and have a movie day.
19.  Make a daisy chain.
20. Organise your files on your laptop. I have needed to do this FOR AGES.
21.  Face masks
22. Make a scrapbook with all your favourite photos of friends and family
23. Melt chocolate and dip strawberries in them
24. GO SHOPPING
25.  Tidy up / give your room a clear out. (then you can go out and buy more things, because hey you earned it)
26.  Play around with your hair, plait it, straighten it, curl it, even crimp it if you want to!
27. Go to the ZOO and fall in the love with all the animals.
28.  Cuddle your animals. If you don’t have one you could always get one! I nearly picked myself up the most beautiful hamster the other day!
29. Experiment with your makeup.
30. Put on your favourite playlist, and sing and dance like Beyoncé.
31.  Smile.
32. Take a loved one out for coffee and a cake.
33. Make a to do list, and get everything ticked off... that doesn’t require Wifi of course.
34. Take a RIDICULOUS amount of selfies.
35. Have a bath, and use every bath bomb going.
36. Go for a picnic
37. Go to the beach, build sandcastles, eat fish & chips & gooey sugary doughnuts. depending on where you live of course
38. Cover your hands in PVA glue. Why not.
39.  Sit in the garden, take in the surroundings and notice your breathing.
40. Go berry picking and make yourself a delicious crumble.
41. Organise your DVD’s / Books. A-Z? Genre? Colour? Age Classification? Take your pick!
42.  Swim at your local pool and just keep splashing.
43. Skipping or Hula Hooping
44.  Look out your favourite pens or pencils and do some colouring in, surprisingly calming.
45. Make smoothies, and make them as unusual as you like.
46.  Play your favourite board games, I personally love Cluedo.
47. Sit in a coffee shop and people watch, surprisingly entertaining.
48. Watch the sunset, admire the tones and take beautiful photos.
49. Try on outfits and find different style combinations.
50. Don’t do anything, take the time to recharge your batteries.

I hope you enjoyed this list lovelies, of course you can do all of these when you do have wifi, but if you ever come across a time when you don’t have it, then you can still have lots and lots of fun!

Let me know if you have any additions to my list! I would love to hear what you like to get up to! :)

Lots of love,

Kayleigh xoxo

  8. When I was at Center Parcs the wifi connection was so dodgy that it was almost a completely offline weekend! Strange at first, my phone is usually like a body part, but we all had a great time just getting out and doing stuff, or watching movies and talking without the distraction. Still... my own list would probably be 1. Cry about not having wifi. 2. Cry about not having wifi. 3. Cry about... you get my point!! x

  10. This was a really nice post. Sometimes people just become obsessed with wifi and don't think they can do anything without it. It is sometimes nice to have an internet detox and these are lovely ideas for when you do that!
